William E. Randolph, Jr.
William (Bill) E. Randolph, Jr. is a native New Yorker. In addition to being organist at Intercession, he is Associate Organist at the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Devine, adjunct organist at Columbia University, and Chapel Organist at Marymount School for Girls. Bill is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, where he was a student of Frederick Swann. He has attended the University of Hartford, and summer courses with the Royal School of Church Music at Princeton University. He has held similar positions in New York at Saint George's Church, Stuyvesant Square, Saint Philip's, Saint Andrew's and Saint Ambrose, all in Harlem. He has performed in New York at Saint Thomas Church with the Boys Choir of Harlem, in the Caribbean at the Anglican Cathedral in Bermuda, and in several churches in Barbados, including St. Michaels' Cathedral and James Street Methodist Church. This is Bill's second time around as organist at Intercession. He was first organist from 1983 to 1992. |
