Susan Augustus, a native New Yorker, attended Sunday school, and was confirmed at Intercession. She also sang in the Choir during her High School years. She graduated from LaGuardia High School of Music and the Arts and studied at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, the University of Hawaii at Manoa and graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Susan went on to obtain a Master of Arts degree in Media Studies from the New School of Social Research.

A lover of Music, Susan sang in college choirs and as a member of the chorale at the University of Massachusetts, Susan toured Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the Fiji Islands and Hawaii. She also sang with a Musical group called Blue Number Nine that continues to appear professionally in NYC and surrounding areas. Susan has worked in various media venues, and has written a musical. She is working on starting a non-profit to benefit women in the Harlem community.

Susan was recently elected to serve as a member of the Church of the Intercession Vestry (Class of 2008). She is the designer of this web site and she photographed several of the pictures on the site.
